  • About Calla Lily & Hydrangea

    The Zhuzihu Calla Lily and Hydrangea Festival will kick-off on March 14.

    The Department of Economic Development (DOED), Taipei City Government is working with the staff of Beitou Farmers' Association to offer guided tours on weekends and holidays during the festival period. On the days with tours, there will be one session in the morning and one session in the afternoon. Participants will travel to various scenic attractions at Zhuzihu and Yangmingshan, enjoying flower-picking, great food, and other activities during the tour.

  • Linger In the romantic wonderland of calla lily

    Located within Yangmingshan National with an elevation of 600 meters, Jhuzihhu is rich in alpine mountain veggies and landscaping flowers and plants thanks to its cool climatic environment. The transformation of the terrain can be traced back to 350 thousand years ago when the accumulation of rainwater turned into barrier lake. After having dry up, the lake was replaced by the reclamation of bamboo forests. As the bamboo leaves swing like ocean waves upon being swayed by the breeze in winter, the name of Jhuzihhu is ultimately given.

Unbounded white flower's land

In springtime when the weather is glorious with mild wind and bright sun, all sorts of flowers bloom and via with one another in beauty in Yongminshan during flower festival. Walk into Jhuzihhu and appreciate the scenery of vast, endless calla lily field in the month of April: The fair and delicate calla lilies are in full bloom, and the tourists are falling over each other in their eagerness to take pictures. Stroll along the mountain tracks, feel the nature, and climb up to Siaoyoukeng in passing to have a bird's eye view of the cityscape of Taipei City.

    Approaching to the arrival of Dragon Boat Festival right after the performance of romantic flower sea, the patchwork of hydrangea flower in purple, blue, and all kinds of colors with myriads of shapes scattering all over the land like attractive snowflakes. Walk on the hidden pathway in the forest where short bridge and running stream immerse smoothly into the nature, relish carefully mountain dishes and wild herb potherbs delivered straight from the source, and leave behind the memorable enchanting memories.

  • Japonica rice town and dazzling highland vegetables

    Because of its closure property formed by mountains and hills and particular climate which brings about the gathering of mists and clouds, Jhuzinhu's has turned into not only a treasure-house of abundant highland vegetables and fruits but also the hometown of japonica rice. Imported and successfully grown by the Japanese, the japonica rice is so sweet, aromatic, and al dente that it has become one of the indispensable food crops for Taiwanese families. Savor the lusciousness of lunchbox served with fresh veggies in autumn, or read and appreciate the stories of land and people on farms and in cultural hall.

  • Beitou Station

    Take route S9 or 129 to Zhuzihu or Take route 230 to Yangmingshan Terminal and walk to Yangmingshan Transfer Station to take route 108, 128, 129, 131, S8, S9 to Zhuzihu.

  • Shipai Station

    MRT Shipai Station - Take route S8 or 128 (only travels to Zhuzihu area during Calla Lily and Hydrangea Festival) to Zhuzihu.

  • Jiantan Station

    Take route R5 to Yangmingshan termina or take any of the following buses to Yangmingshan Second Parking Lot :111 Transfer to route 108, 128, 129, 131, S8, S9 to Zhuzihu. (128 only travel to Zhuzihu area during Calla Lily and Hydrangea Festival)

  • Taipei Railway Station

    Take route 260 to Yangmingshan Terminal and walk to Yangmingshan Transfer Station to take route 108, 128, 129, 131, S8, S9 to Zhuzihu.
